International Partnerships

As part of the international role played by the Emirates Falconers Club in the preservation of human heritage and the preservation of falconry and awareness of sustainable hunting methods, we have established successful partnerships that contribute to the club's initiatives and objectives to preserve this heritage.

International Association of Falconry (IAF)

Founded in 1968 as the Union of Falconry Clubs, the World Federation of Falconry and Preserving Birds (IAF) is the only global falconry-based association. It has 110 member clubs and falconry associations from 87 countries with 75,000 members. The Emirates Falconers Club was the first club to join the International Union of Falconry and Conservation of Birds in 2003. One of its most important events is the election of officers to lead and support the organisation’s activities. Mr. Majid Ali Al Mansouri, Executive Director of Emirates Falconers Club, serves as Vice President of the IAF for the Middle East and North Africa.

Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES).

As part of the efforts of the Emirates Falconers Club to promote the concept of sustainable hunting and wildlife conservation, it is committed to the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES). In this context, the UAE Falconers Club works with local and international institutions concerned with the conservation of falcons, birds and their habitats.
