Prizes and Judging
The competition brings together two ancient arts from the Gulf region, namely, the immensely popular Nabati poetry, which expresses genuine Arabian and communal values and outlooks, and falconry which is one of the most important pillars of authentic Arab heritage.
This year’s edition of the competition at ADIHEX 2021 targets young poets as part of the Higher Organizing Committee’s efforts to encourage and motivate younger generations of amateurs and enthusiasts of this authentic art to develop their creative and literary skills and safeguard this cultural heritage.
Nabati poetry is the most popular genre of traditional Arabic poetry as is evident by the number of poems being written and the number of fans and participants in the art.
This reflects the beauty and relevance of Nabati poetry in touching the sentiments of the society members, it expresses their daily lives, interests and aspirations in a smooth language and an enjoyable style.
